Things to do at Glacier 3000
5-3 hours from Geneva. The top station sits at about 3,000 metres, the source of the name, and is the main draw for the suspended Peak Walk bridge and views over the Bernese Alps that stretch to the Mont Blanc massif only on clear days. Return cable car tickets run to roughly CHF 80-90 for adults, and queues build fast around midday in July and August.
Wind, cloud and snow close the top section without notice, so this is a fair-weather day trip, not a guaranteed one, and it is not the large glacier landscape of the French Mer de Glace.
