Things to do in Talloires
Talloires is a small village on the quieter, eastern shore of Lake Annecy, about 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30 by road from Geneva.
It suits visitors who have already seen Annecy's old town and want a calmer lakeside base, at a price: the handful of hotels and restaurants here, several with lake terraces, run noticeably higher than equivalent options in Annecy itself.
There is no direct train station in Talloires, so a car or a bus with a change in Annecy is needed to get here, which rules it out for anyone without a vehicle. Given the travel time, this is not a standalone stop on a short Geneva trip but a late-afternoon detour or an overnight for those already spending a day around the lake.
